You have entered Azrael's realm....

As you step to the large gates, your heart pounds loudly. Will they open unto you and welcome you into their warmth? Or will the clouds beneath your feet give way, sending you into cold oblivion?

You are humbled as you stand before this gateway. Any being would be. Slowly, oh so slowly, the gates open for you, and you step warily inside the blinding blue light, your heart thumping harder in your chest with each tentative step.

The light dims into a comfortable glow, and the clouds press in until you have only one path to walk. With each step you take, the clouds move to fill in the area behind you. Turning back once you've stepped through this celestial gate is not an option.

As you near the end of the path, two thrones come into view through the mist. There is a celestial being perched upon each one. Your eyes, for now, however, wander to the shirtless being on the left.

You take in the chaotic mass of white hair, following the longer strands across a sculpted, chest and down a firm stomach, before catching on the longest of 2 visible pairs of wings that are wrapped about this angelic form's lower body. Your eyes trace their outlines until the smaller set of wings, that frame the stern face, come into view. Finally your eyes lock onto a pair of fierce red eyes.

Those eyes stare you down harshly, seeming to bore into your very soul, weighing your deeds, and sizing up your worth. Finally, with a barely perceptible nod, the beautiful beast has approved, and accepted your presence here.

You've barely had time to register the slight movement before he shifts in his throne, stretching a 3rd pair of wings much larger than the other two sets, that until now were hidden from your eyes. There is a mighty gust of wind before he disappears into the unseen rafters of this paradise-world. As he disappears, so do the clouds and mist, and at last the wondrous vastness of this heaven is revealed to you.

As you look around in awe at the limitlessness of your new home, a whisper echos on the wind generated by his wings. "Welcome to my realm, child."
